Transport: The region is easily accessible from Melbourne and Sydney on the Hume Highway, which passes the towns of Benalla, Glenrowan, Wangaratta and Albury Wodonga. There are also flights direct to Mount Hotham Airport from all capital cities and major regional centres via QantasLink.
When To Go: The region is mild year round, with alpine regions experiencing significantly colder temperatures than the lower-lying areas. Summer temperatures range from a warm 15°C to 32°C and winter a cooler -5°C to 15°C. Precipitation is moderate throughout the year, with November to April averaging 4 rain days per month, and May to October averaging 10 rain days per month.
