Transport: This is a huge region! Driving is the best way to get around Cairns and neighbouring towns. A 4WD is required north of Cape Tribulation. If you are based in Cairns or Port Douglas, there are plenty of coach companies that will take you from your accommodation to the many activities available.

 

When To Go: The Tropical North Coast is warm and sunny year round. Summer temperatures average 25°C to 35°C and winter a lovely 17°C to 28°C. The wet season lasts from January to March with over 400mm per month (that’s a lot of rain –usually in the form of late afternoon downpours). The remainder of the year is dry with 50mm per month.

Overview
As a certified diver, experience and compare three different reef environments in the famous Outer Great Barrier Reef all in the one day. Enjoy a wider variety of marine life as different sites are home to different marine life.

Description
An ultra modern 29 metre catamaran lets you explore the outer edge reef locations at Agincourt ribbon reef in superb style and comfort.

Cruising on the fastest vessel to the reef, you'll enjoy over 5 hours exploring the delights of this underwater world. With numerous reef locations available, each site offers a new experience, selected for its unique variety of marine life and corals.

During the 1 and a half hour journey to Agincourt reef, a marine presentation is provided on the video system in the main cabin and dive briefing and lectures prepare divers for their day on the reef.

At Agincourt ribbon reef, you'll have access to exclusive dive sites, visiting 3 different sites to dive. In between water activities, relax on the expansive sundecks overlooking the Coral Sea.

Your crew will ensure you have all you need to make the most of your day on board, which includes full bar facilities, a hot and cold tropical buffet lunch, fresh water showers, morning and afternoon tea.

Your itinerary for the day is as follows:

8:15am: On boarding enjoy a complimentary tea or coffee and a foccacia bread. For your safety, hot drinks are not served once the vessel is underway. Passengers are required to be onboard the vessel 15 minutes before departure.

8:30am: Depart Marina Mirage for the trip to the Outer Barrier Reef. On the way, detailed certified and introductory dive briefings are given.

10:00am: Arrive at the first site. Divers gear up and get ready to view the beauty of this natural wonder!

11:30am: Move to the 2nd site... After the initial water activities, enjoy a tropical hot and cold lunch [included in the fare] served in the air conditioned cabin. The lunch includes fresh prawns, pasta, meats, salads and fruit. There are bar facilities available where you can purchase drinks.

11:40am: Certified divers go for their 2nd dive.

1:15pm: You will move to the 3rd location on Agincourt Reef system. Certified divers will do their third dive.

2:15pm: Afternoon tea is served.

3:00pm: Depart Agincourt Reef for Port Douglas. Reef video viewing on board.

4:30pm: Arrival at Marina Mirage, Port Douglas.

What to bring: Hat and Sunscreen, Camera, Swimming costume, Credit Card for Shopping, Shirt for sun protection, Beach Towel, Cash for drinks at the bar, your Scuba Diving Certification.

One and Two Dive prices are available on application.

Special Requirements
The minimum age for diving is 12 years. Divers under the age of 18 must have a parent or legal guardian consent to dive.

All diving is subject to a medical questionnaire.

You must wait 24 hours before flying after diving.


Terms & Conditions
Mandatory Charges - A fuel surcharge may apply. Any charge will be collected on the day of travel.

Booking Conditions - In the Special Comments section of your booking, please advise your accommodation details and whether you require transfers on the day of your tour.

Transfers from Cairns, Northern Beaches, and Silky Oaks areas are an additional $15.00 per person. Please advise at time of booking.

Amendment Conditions - On very rare occasions, services can be subject to the effect of weather or unforeseen circumstances requiring changes to the brochured itinerary. Should your vessel not operate for any reason you will be offered an alternative day.
