Major Airports: Newcastle

 

Transport: The most direct route to the Hunter Coast is via the F1 freeway leading from Sydney to Newcastle; or use the old Pacific Highway or Wollombi roads as alternate routes. From the West you can approach via Maitland on the New England Highway. Trains leave Sydney's Central Station hourly to Newcastle via Gosford. A number of coach companies offer day trips to the Hunter Valley departing from Central Station in Sydney.

 

When To Go: March-April or October-November are a delight, with clear warm days and mild nights. The Hunter Coast averages summer temperatures of around 19°C to 25°C and winter temperatures of around 11°C to 18°C. Rainfall is heaviest between January and March averaging 110mm per month, while May to August average 90mm per month.

Overview
 This is simply an awesome adventure for two people. This mission involves you and a mate pitting yourselves against each other in dogfight manoeuvres using two L-39 jet fighters.

Description
 This mission is for the true aviation fanatics and includes close formation flying as well as aerobatic manoeuvres prior to the dogfight segment. See if you can maintain tally on your threat and defeat the enemy with superior energy management and skill. This is the only aviation company to offer this mission in L-39 jet fighters and it is the absolute premium mission offered in Australia.

An experience words cannot describe!

Flight time is approximately 30 minutes each.

Wear comfortable loose fitting clothes, long pants, rubber soled shoes and bring along a light jacket (heavier clothing may be need during the winter months). Feel free to wear your sunglasses or contact lenses.

This flight departs from Cessnock Airport, Pokolbin, in the Hunter Valley.

What's Included & Excluded
 Inclusions: Safety and flight briefing, a military style flying suit and military helmet, and a 30 minute flight.

Special Requirements
 Passengers 16 to 17 years old require parental/legal guardian consent.

You should be in generally good health. You must not weigh more than 110kg. You will also need to be normally mobile and agile enough to climb up into cockpits and lift your legs and bend your knees etc. Let us know about heart disease, hypertension, diabetes, flu and sinus problems just to be sure.

Amendment Conditions - If the weather is not suitable for your scheduled flight it will be rescheduled to another time.

Cancellation / No Show Policy - Our Preferred Operator reserves the right to cancel and reschedule flights if the weather is deemed unsuitable for flying.

No refunds will be given for 'No Shows'.
